How do I save $75 a week on pizza for my family of seven?
I make it, of course!
It wasn't always this easy: I've tried various doughs and recipes, all ending in lackluster pizza that my children hardly touched, and frustrated tears on my end. Pizza is simple, what was I doing wrong?!
Honestly, I still don't know.
One day, I decided to take the bread dough I had ready from the morning to bake the next day, and instead rolled it out over a sheet of parchment paper placed over a baking sheet, then covered the dough with sauce and cheese, baked at the same 450, but just for 15-minutes. My first attempt was using a rectangular pan, subsequent pizzas have been circular, the recipe works the same.
It's delicious.
The beauty of this pizza is that it's the same Daily Bread recipe I make every morning, merely formed into a pizza base, topped with sauce (a quarter to half a cup), followed by your choice toppings and give or take a pound of shredded cheese.
